The Chinese Studies Program has selected the top candidate for the temporary 2009-10 Chinese Language Lecturer position (Job # 5-200-AD)
Applications are no longer being accepted for a part-time or a full-time language Lecturer position at the University of California, San Diego. The position has been filled and was contingent on funding for the 2009-10 academic year.

Required qualifications include an M.A. degree in a humanities or social sciences field associated with Chinese language acquisition. Candidate must have college level (beginning to advanced) language instruction experience. Extensive experience in teaching Chinese language is essential; training / research in language pedagogy desirable. Salary commensurate with qualifications, based upon published UCSD salary scale and available funding.
Please send your CV, at least two recommendation letters, teaching evaluations by colleagues and/or undergraduate college students, and a videotape or DVD of yourself instructing on grammar. It is preferred that your use a lesson of the following: Integrated Chinese, Level 1, Part 2, Lesson 13, dialogues I &II as part of your demonstration video recording but other lessons are acceptable. Please ensure that the quality of your recording allows the Advisory Search Committee to see and view your demo on both a PC and Mac computer.
