The Chuan Lyu Endowed Chair in Taiwan Studies

The Division of Arts and Humanities at the University of California, San Diego seeks to recruit the inaugural holder of the Chuan Lyu Endowed Chair in Taiwan Studies. The search committee invites applications from senior scholars whose research and teaching have a considerable focus on the society, history, literature, philosophy, arts, music, or culture of the people of Taiwan in any period from the eighteenth century to the present. This includes scholars who have a strong interest in the role of Taiwan in the Asian region and in the world. Review of applications will begin on December 1, 2007 and continue until the position is filled. The appointment will commence as of July 1, 2008.
