Born and raised in China, Di Wu has been teaching Mandarin Chinese in the U.S. since 2000. She holds a B.A. in English Languages and Literatures and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics with an emphasis in Second Language Acquistion, Teaching Methodology, and Chinese Syntax from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (formerly know as Guangzhou Foreign Langauge Institute) and a M.A. om Theoretical Linguistics and Chinese Linguistics from the University of California, Irvine. Before joing the Chinese Studies Program at UCSD in 2008, Di Wu taught 1st thru 4th year Chinese at UC Irvice for a total of six years.
