Li Xu

Faculty, Chinese Language

Born and raised in China, Li Xu has over 10 years’ experience teaching Chinese as a second language at all levels. She received both her B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature and her MA in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Beijing Normal University in China. Before joining the Chinese Studies Program at UC San Diego, she taught Chinese in the Department of Asian Studies at Cornell University.
She has also served as an Instructor and Head Instructor of Chinese language in Cornell University's CAPS (China and Asia-Pacific Studies) Program and FALCON (Full-Year Asian Language Concentration) Program at Peking University and as a Chinese instructor in the Princeton in Beijing Intensive Language Program in Beijing, China.
